ADAS – Diagnostics, Repair, and Calibration of Driver Assistance Systems
Precise adjustment of cameras and radars according to manufacturer procedures
Modern vehicles use advanced ADAS safety systems, such as ACC, Front Assist, Lane Assist, Side Assist, Audi Pre Sense, Emergency Assist, Night Vision, and 360° camera systems. To function correctly, cameras, radars, and sensors must be aligned with the highest precision and in accordance with manufacturer procedures.
At Szulc Motorsport, we perform diagnostics, repair, and calibration of ADAS systems. We handle standard cameras and radars, as well as advanced solutions used in the latest Audi and VAG group models, such as LiDAR laser scanners, Night Vision cameras, or Matrix LED headlights.
Scope of ADAS services in our workshop
- Diagnostics of ACC, Front Assist, Lane Assist, and Side Assist systems
- Repair of ADAS system faults after collisions and electrical failures
- Calibration of front and multi-function cameras
- Calibration of ACC radars and assist radars
- Parameterization and coding of ADAS control units
- Component Protection (CP) removal
- Calibration of High rear-view cameras with dynamic guide lines
- Calibration of 360° camera systems
- Calibration of Night Vision cameras and LiDAR radars
- Adjustment and calibration of Matrix LED headlights

Why does calibration precision matter?
Calibration performed "by eye" is not enough. According to manufacturer technology, cameras and radars must be aligned relative to the geometric axis of the vehicle. Therefore, we use Hella equipment, original Audi/VAG and BMW software, as well as specialized measuring instruments that allow us to maintain factory-level accuracy.
Many workshops lack the appropriate equipment or knowledge to perform the full procedure in accordance with manufacturer requirements. At Szulc Motorsport, every calibration is preceded by diagnostics, verification of the vehicle's technical condition, and confirmation of system operation after the work is completed.
Thanks to our many years of experience, access to factory documentation, and original manufacturer software, we effectively diagnose, repair, and calibrate ADAS systems both after accident repairs and in cases of electrical failures or control unit communication problems.
ODIS Online, GEKO, and factory procedures
After replacing an ACC radar, camera, control unit, or ADAS system module, calibration is often not enough. In many cases, parameterization, online coding, Component Protection (CP) removal, writing a new component, or performing an SVM procedure is necessary.
At Szulc Motorsport, we use ODIS Online and GEKO access, thanks to which we perform procedures compliant with manufacturer documentation. We restore full functionality to ADAS systems after collisions, flooding, coding errors, electrical installation damage, communication problems, and incorrectly performed repairs.

Every vehicle, after completed calibration, undergoes a system operation check and a test drive. Only such a procedure allows us to confirm the correct operation of ADAS systems. Due to the time required to perform full diagnostics, calibration, and road tests, please book your appointments in advance.
When should ADAS calibration be performed?
- After windshield replacement – the camera requires re-adjustment according to manufacturer procedure.
- After a collision or accident repair – even a slight bumper shift can change the radar's working angle.
- After replacing a radar, camera, or control unit – coding, parameterization, and calibration are often required.
- After suspension repair or wheel alignment – changing the vehicle's axis setting affects ADAS system performance.
- After vehicle modifications – changing the bumper, suspension, or car height can disrupt sensor operation.
- After electrical failures – damaged wiring, flooding, or communication problems require diagnostics.
Why is correct adjustment so important?
An incorrectly set camera or radar can cause false warnings, unexpected emergency braking, malfunction of ACC, Front Assist, or complete shutdown of safety systems. Correct ADAS diagnostics and calibration have a direct impact on the safety of the driver and passengers.
Preparing the vehicle for ADAS calibration
Before bringing the vehicle to the service center, please ensure proper tire pressure, an appropriate fuel level, and remove unnecessary loads from the trunk. In the case of vehicles equipped with roof racks or bike carriers, we recommend removing them beforehand, as they may affect the accuracy of the calibration procedure.
